The dread of the word disease is so ingrained in our fears that we feel hopeless when the unfortunate day arrives when the doctor informs you that have you one. For those people who go by the traditional historical definition, a disease is  –

a disordered or incorrectly functioning organ,

infection, poisons,

nutritional deficiency or imbalance,

toxicity, or unfavorable environmental factors,

illness, sickness, ailment. via dictionary.com.

For those of you who are embracing the new definition, a disease is ” an imbalance in thought patterns, a mental and spiritual blockage, that results in physical and mental ailments that may be corrected by internal thought pattern correction.”

For most people this new definition hopefully leaves you with optimism about your sickness, empowering you to take a new solutions based approach that involves a non-pharmaceutical intervention. Not that I believe people should stop taking their diabetes, cancer, or other medication immediately, but recognize that there are some other ways of healing the body. Remember each thought carries a certain vibration, and their are consequences for the repetitive thoughts we are holding so close to ourselves each day. One of the most thorough books written about this subject of disease management is “You Can Heal Your Life”, by Louise Hay, a text book for living through affirmation work. Affirmation work and mindset change is a process that you have to be completely open to. The changes can take some time, so deliberate repetition is of the utmost importance. But, if you are unsatisfied with how you are feeling and how the doctors have been dealing with your illness, this is a great start to a new way of living. =)
