Why aren’t we more kind with each other?……
Each of us is born with a series in built in confusions that are probably somehow Darwinian. We are central to the universe. Our personal story is the main and most interesting story, the only story, really.
Hello, Lovely talk. Thank you for posting it.
I agree with George Sanders’ conclusions about why we aren’t more kind.
I think one way to address this is to demonstrate the benefits (to the kind person) of being kind.
I know an idea like this is not as warm and fuzzy as trying to condition people to be more selfless.
But appealing to self-interest is an effective way to enact change. I personally am not troubled by that fact.
