Nor will they emphasize the high degree of probably that you might not even land a job in your selected field to begin with. They probably won’t even give you the simple calculation that we all need to remind ourselves of before sending in that application = The loss of your annual wages, minus the loan payment(with massive interest) that you will have to pay on a typical $40,000 they want you to start making payments on 6 months after you graduate, minus the potential loss in seniority that many companies value more than pieces of paper when it comes to your pay grade. I would never EVER tell people to avoid furthering their education, because it is a cornerstone to life, but people need to be armed with the facts.
