This is one of the most exciting things I have come across for a long time. It a new uprising in communication called The Human Library.
I don’t know about you but I have come across some absolutely weird and exciting characters on my journey through life and would love to know their life story. So often we quench are intrigue by researching un-ordinary lives through the pages of a good novel or documentary, but are always left with more questions than answers.
Today we have a new opportunity at our hands, and it is called The Human Library where you can check people out just like a book from the library. What better way to obtain insight into various lives of mystery than getting the facts straight from the protagonists mouth. Although this project is in it’s infancy in London, I think small chapters of these libraries could open up in every major metropolis. This type of mentor-ship through presence and sincerity could never be matched through the pages of a book!
I’d love to be brought through the life of Stephen!
42 year-old Stephen
“At nine years old, I was adopted by a wealthy family. I worked for the Queen and for Harrods. I met many famous people; I even went on tour with Michael Jackson. And then, after a nervous breakdown, everything came crumbling down. I ended up in the street.”
