If you have ever wondered how far a simple act of kindness can go, you need to hear the story of Rikki Mendias and his nonprofit called HavASole. I personally know scores of people who spin their wheels trying to make a difference in this world, but lack traction because they think their ideas aren’t good enough. But take a look at Rikki’s story. This champion has now given out over 7000 pairs of shoes to homeless people, and it all started two decades ago when a lady bought him shoes. Do you think for a second that that lady would have thought to herself, “hey, if I buy this young man shoes today, he will grow up and touch thousands of lives”?….Fat chance! But sometimes the seeds of kindness we place in the unsuspecting can eventually produce a bumper crop of love and change in this world. Today can easily be that day for you. So get out there and touch some lives, even if it is with a bright smile. And to Rikki, we salute you! Well done!

Activism comes in the form of radical kindness. It’s someone being kind to Rikki two decades ago, then coming full circle.
