I have always admired individuals who continue to move forward through life regardless of how many times they have been knocked down. No matter if they face job loss, love loss, cancer, death of the family, financial loss, they just just on moving forward never dwelling in the pain and loss. I don’t think I could count how many times I have called myself a failure, taking all the wind out of my sails and laying stagnant for long periods of time stewing in self pity. I was never taught the emotional strength from a young age, and it sure didn’t come natural to me. If I fell down, emotionally I couldn’t get up, or if I did I would bounce back with huge burst of ego to try and prove to the world I was okay and stronger, but still lacked any solidified confidence.

Not till I had wasted several years of my life spinning my wheels and visiting doctors asking for solutions to my emotional pain did I start asking myself, ” isn’t there a better way out there”? I was sick and tired of being sick and tired of life and not feeling in flow with really anything. The more I read and educated myself on people who broke through barriers in life, the less I felt like I was cut from a different fabric and the more hope I had that one day I could be one of these people with a mindset of optimism and work ethic through any dilemma. The reality is that mindset can be learned, just like we all learn to ride a bike, or swim, but it takes focus. Regardless of how you feel, and no matter how little progress your head says you are making that you continue to do put the effort in, trusting that eventually there will be change. You will miss the mark many times and come up short but there are many resources out there that recognize this truth and can empower you to keep going. Mindset evolves and grows and become stronger just like a muscle grows at the gym. Don’t Give in, Don’t Give up, You Are Worth it!
