There Might Be 100,000 People In Prison That Were Wrongfully Convicted

Just visualize yourself walking through your neighborhood park after a beautiful meal with your family and then all of a sudden the boys in blue surround you screaming to put your hands where they can see them, placing you under arrest. You get down to the precinct, they place you in a holding cell, and then they inform you that you have been arrested and are being held for murder. At this point you completely lose your composure and scream for your release immediately due to your innocence.
You are then tried in the court of law, are found guilty, and then sentenced to 20 years in prison due to the convincing testimony of an eye witness that assured the jury that you were in fact the individual who committed the crime. There is one problem though….you are 100% innocent of the crime. This unfortunate event that completely destroys innocent people and their families has happened far more often than the judicial system would like to acknowledge. To elaborate the issue even further, the team over TestTube News captures the complexity of the issues at hand.
