Are white-lies a big deal? Aren’t they less destructive than direct lies? Am I delusional?, or avoiding the truth? “The Truth Will Set You Free”, statement really sums up the understanding of how the impact of honesty can impact our day. Cleaning the slate each day or avoiding as much destructive thinking and actions clears the conscious mind for sleep and then next day so the ‘hurt-people, hurt people’ syndrome doesn’t continue its crash course through the day.
We lie primarily to protect the persona our egos have created. Anything that will place developed and trained persona people may generally lie to avoid that internal devaluation. The critical judgement we all fear yet place upon others is something we strive to work around every day but forget about how the truth impacts how we feel and think as well. We build upon lies, or lie to protect an already established lie, and it directly creates resistance internally that we forget to place concern for.
