Picture yourself heading out the door on your way to work on a typical Monday morning. It feels like one of those days where life has thrown you an emotional curve ball and you would rather just turn around and call in sick, but you decide to shrug it off and continue marching forward toward the subway. As you slowly approach the subway station a loud voice in your head starts to chatter about all the negative things happening in your life right now and how much despise everyone at work, and really find most people to be assholes. The subway arrives late as usual and you sit down in the same grungy spot you always do each morning, wishing you had more money to afford a car. Nothing would bring you more happiness this morning than to avoid the stench, crazy people and claustrophobia the subway seems to greet you with every day.

As you reach for your headphones in your pocket something seems to grab your attention. It looks like someone has forgotten a letter in the empty seat beside you. Curiosity stirs in you and you reach for the letter, hoping that the underside would have an address for your to mail it to. You flip the envelop over, but the only writing that appears on the front is, “this is yours if you’ve found it”. At this point you are even more captivated by this random envelope. The debate starts to brew whether you should open it or not. It’s been a while since something like this has entered your mundane life. You can’t resist the temptation any more and you hastily open the letter. Held within are such kind words that you begin to tear up, a touching experience you will never forget.

You open the letter and you come across one of these anonymously written tokens of love and hope (:
